Mip TV will introduce an international producers forum at the confab’s next meeting in April. The inaugural forum will address project development, fund production and identifying business opportunities abroad.
Running April 12-13 in Cannes, the forum will cover co-production, working in emerging markets and creative collaboration between producers and commissioners. The forum will be led by Gary Marenzi, co-prexy of MGM Worldwide TV; John Morayniss, CEO of E1 TV; and Lee Bartlett, m.d. of ITV Global.
Other events include courses led by Jeff Gomez, CEO, Starlight Runner Entertainment (“Avatar”), and Nathan Mayfield, chief creative officer and co-founder, Hoodlum, who co-created a multiplatform campaign for ABC’s “Lost,” on successful cross-media storytelling and content creation and Paul Borass’ offer tips on successful pitching.
Mip runs April 12-16 and is organized by Reed Midem, which is owned by Variety parent Reed Elsevier.
