Jeff Gomez is a nationally recognized expert on leadership and success strategies for children and teenagers, with an emphasis on how to overcome bullying in schools. He is also a consultant to the nonprofit international education and advocacy foundation Operation Respect and the Knowledgeworks Foundation.
Since 1988 Jeff has performed his Never Surrender motivational seminars in more than 1,000 venues before over 100,000 students (grade school, middle school, high school and college), educators, parents and professionals.
A Latino who spent his childhood in low-income housing projects on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Jeff has always championed the concerns of young people. Never Surrender combines Jeff’s street sensibilities and years of experience in the business world with practical, step-by-step recommendations toward realizing your own vision and achieving your goals.
Never Surrender is based on Jeff’s Life Adventure System curriculum, which he started developing while teaching in New York City public schools in the late 1980s. The curriculum combines an ontological approach to language and perception with illustrations from pop culture and personal experience designed to teach students how to reinterpret problems and conflicts to generate “win-win” solutions.
Teaming with international education and advocacy foundation Operation Respect, Jeff conceived and produced the anti-bullying video “Don’t Laugh at Me,” featuring teen hip-hop star Baby Jay. You can see the video here:
